Our story
We are guides, camp-owners and planners based in Arusha — people who grew up in the shadow of Meru and Kilimanjaro, and who treat every safari as something to be crafted by hand.
Why we started
Elken Safaris began with a simple frustration: too many travellers were sold a template. The same lodges, the same rushed loop, booked from an office an ocean away by someone who had never smelled the dust after rain on the Serengeti.
So we built the opposite. A small house of local guides and planners who know every camp on your route by name, who read the migration by instinct rather than a calendar, and who answer the phone themselves. Nothing about an Elken safari is off the shelf.
